Turbo Trac USA, Inc. is rolling out its game-changing technology to the oil and gas industry that reduces pump jack operating expense through substantial energy reduction and increased equipment life while improving pump productivity.
While the company's first Infinitely Variable Transmission line was targeted at oil-well pump jack applications ready to go, it is also finding acceptance in other industrial compressor, fan and pump applications.
Company president Allen Swenson said, "our IVTs have been extensively tested at Southwest Research Institute and other locations and are now ready for field applications. Improved pump production, lower operating costs, and extended equipment life mean improved profitability for well operators."
"Turbo Trac technology can be equally applied to pump jacks powered by electric motors or internal combustion engines on new or existing pumping units and achieve similar benefits," says Duane Hampton, VP of Business Development and Marketing.
The technology was conceived in Midland, Texas and backed by a group of oil and gas professionals. Recognition of the technology's potential contribution to one of the state's key industries resulted in a substantial commercialization award from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund.
