But once the mixture heats up and expands, it crushes the cement block into fragments. John Harper, a former director of energy at the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC), was an observer of the demonstration. “I’m interested in innovation; if this technology meets everything we’ve seen, it’s a game changer.”
