SOUTH JORDAN, Utah -- Headwaters Incorporated has announced that HTI, a subsidiary of Headwaters, has entered into a technology alliance with Axens. Axens is recognized as one of the world’s leading providers of technologies, catalysts and services for oil refineries. The purpose of the alliance is to promote the combined use of Axens’ and HTI’s technologies to produce clean liquid fuels from residual (bottom-of-the-barrel) heavy oil.

KBR Wins Fabrication Award For First Canadian Oilsands Carbon Capture And Storage Project

HOUSTON, Tex. -- KBR has announced that Shell Canada Energy has selected KBR to perform off-site modularization and pipe fabrication at its Edmonton module facility. This historic project will use Shell Quest carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies to reduce CO2 emissions at Shell’s upgrader which upgrades oil originating from Shell’s Athabasca oilsands operations.
