Oil Industry Spend On Health, Safety And Environment Jumps 60% To $56 Billion in 2030

BOSTON, Mass. -- Oil and gas companies’ spending to ease concerns on health, safety and environment (HSE) will balloon 60 per cent to $56 billion in 2030 up from $35 billion in 2011, as heavily publicized environmental disasters have increased regulatory scrutiny, Lux Research says. The result should be a continued reduction in the rate of incidents, which has already been halved over the last decade.

Synodon's realSens Performance Confirmed In Arctic Environment

EDMONTON, Alta. -- Synodon Inc. states that it has completed the previously announced Arctic survey project for Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). As part of the project, the realSens technology was required to demonstrate its ability to detect methane plumes from controlled releases created by the NRCan scientists. The customer controlled test was completed successfully and the results confirmed the reliability and sensitivity Synodon has been marketing for its realSens services.
